Buddhist Studies Course: Sensuality, Craving, Contentment and Dispassion

The Buddha’s teachings and practices encourage us to take a fresh look at all the ways we relate to sensuality. We discover that our heart is often burdened by being pushed around by conditioned habits of liking and disliking–the Buddha calls these habits craving. The deepening of wisdom leads to states of calm, contentment, and ease with conditions. With greater and greater trust in this wise, non-aversive dispassion, the heart lets go and a deeper freedom is revealed.
