Retreat Dharma Talks at Common Ground Meditation Center

Weekly Dharma Series

These weekly groups are designed to be a cornerstone for one’s practice by providing ongoing instruction and teachings that help illuminate the simple but challenging practice of mindfulness. The Buddha taught that mindfulness is the way to go beyond habits of distraction and grasping. To walk this path of wisdom and compassion, we need the support of a community that shares this intention.

Gabe Keller Flores
We'll explore the awakening factor of calm and how it supports both the deepening of our meditation practice and happiness and skillfulness in daily life. Ethical conduct and renunciation will also be discussed as supports for calm. Gabe Keller Flores has been part of the Common Ground community since 2008, when he was a high schooler falling in love with the Dharma. He currently serves as Operations Manager, and previously was Office Manager and Secretary on the Board of Directors. As a practitioner and teacher, he’s interested in the integration of love and wisdom and the natural process of awakening taught by the Buddha. Common Ground offers all programs freely in the spirit of generosity. If you'd like to volunteer or donate to support the teacher(s) and the center, visit https://commongroundmeditation.org/about/supporting-the-center/. If you donate, be sure to enter "Gabe Keller Flores" in the Teacher/Fund box. 2/3 of the donation supports the teacher(s) and 1/3 supports the general operations of the center.
