Recognizing the Good (week 3) - Meditation
33:46
Mark Nunberg
The weekly practice groups are designed to be a cornerstone for one's practice by providing ongoing instruction and teachings that will help illuminate the simple but challenging practice of mindfulness. The Buddha taught that mindfulness is the way to go beyond habits of distraction and grasping. To walk this path of wisdom and compassion, we need the support of a community that shares this intention. Each session includes a guided meditation, dharma talk, and discussion. Both experienced and beginning meditators are welcome.

Goodwill as protection from our ill-will and unskillful actions - Meditation

Gabe Keller Flores
This new bimonthly practice group, led by Gabe Keller Flores, will focus on the supportive role cultivating virtue plays on the Buddha’s path of liberation. Virtues like generosity, truthfulness, renunciation, and goodwill aren’t just nice intentions; in learning to cultivate them, we learn that we can set in motion the causes for happiness for ourselves and others, an understanding that underlies the whole of the path. To start, we will use Ajahn Sucitto’s book on the Paramis as a guide (the Paramis are a traditional Buddhist list of 10 virtues.)
